Terms and Conditions
1. The
property is offered as a holiday rental subject to confirmation by the
owners.
2. We do not charge a security deposit BUT you are liable for any damage
or breakages that occur. Just because we do not charge a deposit this does
not limit the client's liability to the owners.
3. The booking deposit (£50 / 75€) can be made by paid for by paypal,
cheque or cash should be paid within 7 days of booking unless other
arrangements have been agreed with the owners. The balance minus the
booking deposit can be paid for by cash on arrival or by cheque sent at
least 6 weeks prior to your visit.
4. Clients are advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance to
include cancellation cover, and insurance for personal belongings and
public liability, as this is not covered by the owners. (For UK clients,
don't forget your E1-11 available free of charge at the post office).
The use
of the accommodation, equipment or any amenities on site is entirely at
the hirer's risk and no responsibility will be accepted for injury, loss
or damage to the guests personally, their belongings, or vehicles. The
owners are not insured for theft of their guests' belongings.
5. The rental period starts from 4pm on the first day and must be vacated
by 11.00a.m on the last day, unless by prior arrangement. The owner shall
not be obliged to offer accommodation before the time stated and the
Client shall not be entitled to remain after the time stated.
6. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and ensure all members of
their party take good care of the property and leaves it and its contents
in a clean and tidy condition, in the same state as found at the end of
the rental. No smoking inside the property. The owner reserves the right
to charge for excess cleaning charges and significant breakages, loss or
damages. See 2. above
7. The client should report immediately of any loss, damage or breakage of
equipment or appliances, so it can be dealt with as soon as possible.
8. The owner cannot be responsible for:
a) Any temporary stoppage or defect to any public service to the property.
b) Any loss, damage or injury from adverse weather conditions, riot, war,
strike or any other events beyond the owner's control.
c) For any loss or damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the
clients if the property was to be destroyed or damaged before the start of
the rental, in that case the client would be informed and a full refund
would be given.
9. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the hirer exceed
the amount paid by the hirer to the owner for the rental period.
Please read these conditions
carefully as they are the terms of your contract with us.
Agreed bookings will not be confirmed until full
deposit of £50.00 (or 75€) has been received unless other arrangements
have been agreed with the owners. Dates enquired of will only be held open
for seven days pending receipt of deposit. The deposit will be refunded in
full if you cancel more than 8 weeks in advance of your holiday. All
prices are quoted in £ sterling and Euros (€) and cheques should be made
payable to Mr A. Torr. Alternatively, you can pay the deposit by paypal,
please email for details (a paypal request mandate will be sent). Payment
can also be made by direct bank transfer - please email for
details.
Cancellations
Once a booking has been confirmed you are
contracted to pay the full balance due. If you wish to cancel the holiday
out side the 8 week period, see above, we will attempt to re-let the
accommodation, if successful, and at our discretion, refund all or part of
the deposit paid. You must appreciate that the shorter the notice, the
less likely we will be able to re-let the accommodation. You are strongly
advised to take out travel insurance which covers any financial loss
resulting from unavoidable cancellation.
Accommodation
The Gite is let from
16:00hrs on
the date of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00hrs on the date of
departure.
This allows us time to prepare for each arrival. You are expected to leave
the accommodation in a clean and tidy state and any breakages/equipment
failure must be brought to our attention at the time. We reserve the right
to charge reasonable cleaning and repair rates when appropriate. Clean
bedding is provided on a weekly basis but we do not provide soaps or
detergents etc. We provide a welcome pack of some essentials for your
arrival.
You are asked not to smoke inside the gite and
we thank you for your co-operation in this.
Services
We will not be liable for any failure of
Electricity, ADSL, Gas or Water supplies to the Gite; nor in regard of any
equipment, machinery or appliance in the accommodation or grounds; nor any
other matters beyond the reasonable control of ourselves; nor for any
loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by any guest should
the property be destroyed or substantially damaged prior to the rental
period, other than the amount already paid by you in respect of the
rental. Under no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the
amount paid to us by you for the rental period.
Please be aware we are situated in a Village,
but cannot be held responsible for associated noise, festivities or
traffic beyond our control. The gite is not near any main roads and is
usually very tranquil.
The use of the accommodation, grounds, pool,
trampoline, equipment or other amenities is entirely at your risk and we
accept no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to guests
personally, their belongings or vehicles.
You are reminded to bring form E111 (healthcare
cover) with you if travelling from the
UK.
