Les Herolles Reputedly, the largest street market in France, is hosted in the sleepy village of Les Horelles which comes to life on the 29th of the month, unless that is a Sunday, in which case it is on the following Monday. Get there early to catch the livestock and poultry markets, also the traditional stalls including, food, clothing, farming and hunting equipment. Please note that even the cutest bunny or hen is destined for the casserole pot, and may not be suitable for young children, although most seem unconcerned. Head for Lignac and follow the signs. Why not go to the Château Guillaume later in the day.
