Extranet Access Required

For security reasons, the PennPager website along with the Resident website have been moved behind the UPHS firewall.  This means that access from WITHIN UPHS is unrestricted, but access outside UPHS (ie from home, from CHOP, from the VA, etc) must be made through the Extranet.

 Instructions on using the extranet are listed below.

1. Go to https://extranet.uphs.upenn.edu/  (don't forget the s in https://)
2. Log in using your UPHS email login/password:
   
3. Click YES or Allow for all security alerts.  Install and Run any/all components.
   
   If you receive errors and cannot continue installation, just click Continue
4. This is the home page for the Extranet.  Note that my page has several additional links.  These are bookmarks which will be explained below.
   
5. To browse to a site behind the UPHS firewall (ie PennPager, MedView, etc) paste the URL into the dialog box in the top right corner and press Browse
   
6. To set up bookmarks for frequently accessed sites, press the + button ().
   
   From there, fill in the appropriate dialog boxes:
