Argenton-Sur-Creuse is a lively market town situated on the banks of the river Creuse in the South of the Centre-Val-de-Loire. Take time to explore its cobbled lanes ,bustling marketplace and charming medieval riverside houses. During the middle ages the town thrived and became famous for its fashion industry, examples of which can be found in the town "Musée de la Chemiserie et de l'élégance masculine".Shirt museum. The town is overlooked by the towering golden figure of "La Bonne Dame", well worth a visit as are the ruined fortress and the roman archeologically site of Argentomagus. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
